The Sex-Age Structure of the Prevalence of Epilepsy Patients Determined Based on the Registration Results of 2005-2009 in the City of Ganja

322 patients with epilepsy identified according to the registration results of 2005-2009 in Ganja city were studied in detail. 188 of them were men (58.38%), and 134 were women (41.61%). In our studies, the incidence rates increased gradually from 0-4 years to 20-29 years, reached a peak at 20-29 years, and then decreased sharply at 60-69 years. If we show the above mentioned visually, we observe this process in age groups 0-4, 5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, respectively – 5.90% > 11.80% > 15.52% > 18.01% > 21.11% > 13.66% > 6.52% > 6.21% > 1.24%.
