Abstract

Radiological diagnosis of spinal infections is a complex and multifaceted process. Modern radiological methods play a crucial role in the early detection and differential diagnosis of these diseases. Magnetic resonance imaging is distinguished by its high sensitivity and specificity and is considered the first-choice method in most cases. Computed tomography is useful for evaluating bone structures, while positron emission tomography is particularly effective in detecting chronic infections. The optimal diagnostic strategy should consist of a rational combination of various radiological methods, taking into account the individual characteristics of the patient and the clinical situation. In the future, the development of new technologies and methods will further increase the accuracy and effectiveness of diagnosing spinal infections.
