Abstract

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common and serious complicated supraventricular arrhythmia. The presence of comorbidities during AF aggravates the course of this arrhythmia, increasing the risk of death and disability. The presented article provides information on the detection of comorbid cases associated with AF. The results show that 58.5% of patients had arterial hypertension along with AF, 78.7% had heart failure, 12.1% had DMT2, and 9.1% had metabolic syndrome. A combination of the above pathologies was found in some of the patients we examined. Thus, in the majority of patients, 2 comorbid pathologies (combination of AH and HF - 39.4%, combination of HF and DMT2 - 4.04%), and in 8.08% simultaneously 3 comorbidities (AH, HF and DMT2) were identified.
