Abstract

The results of the study show that stroke among young people is becoming increasingly common, has a diverse aetiology and leads to significant long-term consequences, which requires specific preventive and therapeutic approaches. With the increasing incidence of stroke among young people, an objective need for in-depth research to reduce this burden has been identified. The present study analysed the risk factors and clinical features of stroke in young people in Tajikistan. In a sample of 150 stroke patients (aged 18-45 years), the key risk factors identified were arterial hypertension (65.3%) and diabetes mellitus (20%). A high proportion of haemorrhagic strokes (30%) was also noted, which is uncharacteristic for this age group. The results emphasise the importance of timely seeking medical attention, which has a direct impact on improving patient outcomes. The study emphasises the need for active preventive measures and raising awareness among young people about stroke signs and risk factors.
