Comorbidity In Alzheimer's Disease and Vascular Dementia

Clinical and paraclinical examination of two groups of patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease (138 patients) and vascular dementia (111 patients) for detection of comorbid pathology was carried out. Significant differences between the groups in the representation of such comorbid conditions as atherosclerosis of large vessels of the brain, recurrent stroke, epileptic seizures, depression were revealed.
