Abstract

The goal is to identify differences in the structural and functional activity of the placenta in pregnant women with anemia and preeclampsia. The study involved 180 pregnant women. In 120 women, pregnancy was complicated by anemia and preeclampsia (main group), in 60 women, the pregnancy was without complications (control group). The state of the placenta is assessed by ultrasound. The study was conducted starting from week 24. Structural and functional changes were studied in terms of 30-32, 35-36 and 38-39 weeks. Localization, degree of maturity, thickness, diameter, volume, area and mass of the placenta are determined. In pregnant women with preeclampsia and anemia, the placenta was most often located at the bottom (35.6%) and in the lower segment (24%) of the uterus. In terms of 34-35 and 37-38 weeks, active migration of the placenta was observed. The diameter was small. In 14.69% of cases, the placenta was thin. Grade 1 maturity was observed in 55.0%, grade 2 - 60.53% of cases. Aging of the placenta occurred 2.15 times (p <0.001) more often. In pregnant women with preeclampsia and anemia, pathological dynamics of the placenta is observed. Along with certain delays, early maturity and aging of the placenta are inappropriate for gestational age.
