Abstract

Results of the conducted сliniсal - neurophysiological research of 36 patients with polyneuropathy of various etiology with use of electroencephalography with a spectral analysis and nerve conduction studies are presented in article. Patients were divided into 2 groups depending on the dominating frequency a rhythm alpha in parietooccipital channels. 1 group (21) patients with a frequency an alpha of a rhythm of 10 Hz and more and the 2nd group (15) patients with a frequency a rhythm alpha less than 10 Hz. The obtained data demonstrate that the dominating frequency a rhythm alpha in parietooccipital assignments less than 10 Hz is associated with heavier clinical current of polyneuropathy and more expressed changes first of all of amplitude indicators of the compound muscle action potential (CMAP) and sensory nerve action potential (SNAP) n.saphenus that confirms deeper and more expressed damage of axons of peripheral nerves, i.e. the prevailing axonal degeneration. The dominating frequency a rhythm alpha in parietooccipital channels of 10 Hz is also more associated with more favorable clinical current and less expressed deviations of indicators of nerve conduction study.
