Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the ultrasonic markers hypoxic-ischemic lesions of the central nervous system in newborns. The study included 100 newborns 7-8 days sovey life. These data confirm the approval of researchers, those children born to mothers with active infection during pregnancy should be attributed to the high-risk group for neurological symptoms. Currently, Doppler has become the main method of brain research in the newborn. Doppler ultrasound, especially during the dynamic studies, a few extends beyond the usual ultrasound examination of the brain, allowing you to identify deviations in the "structural" normal brain. Despite the limitations of the method, due to the high variability of absolute values of cerebral blood flow and the inability to date to assess the actual volume of brain blood flow Doppler examination of cerebral vessels in the newborn contribute to improving our knowledge about the function and structure of the brain, which may facilitate diagnosis in neonatal neurology.
