Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
The National Journal of Neurology adheres strictly to international standards of publication ethics as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the ICMJE guidelines, and other recognized authorities. Ethical conduct is expected from all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, reviewers, editors, and publishers.
Authors must ensure that their work is original, free from plagiarism, and has not been published elsewhere or submitted to multiple journals simultaneously. Any use of others’ data, figures, or text must be properly cited and attributed. All studies involving human or animal subjects must have received ethical approval from an appropriate review board and be in accordance with the Helsinki Declaration.
Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback. They must disclose any conflicts of interest and refrain from reviewing manuscripts where such conflicts exist. All reviewed content must remain confidential.
Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair and unbiased editorial process. They must avoid conflicts of interest and make decisions based solely on the academic merit of manuscripts. Allegations of misconduct, including plagiarism, data manipulation, and unethical research, are taken seriously and investigated thoroughly. Proven misconduct will result in rejection or retraction and potentially a formal notice to the authors' institutions.
